Hand’s, on Long Beach Island, is set to close for good in early April. However, an official closing date for the store at 1310 Long Beach Blvd., in Beach Haven has not been set.

The owner of Hand’s is reportedly retiring and sold the property, according to media reports, which said the store is in “Everything Must Go” mode, with closeout markdowns on products.

Hand’s was founded in 1952. In addition to beach necessities, Hand’s sells clothing, furniture, hardware, home decor, toys, games and more.

Hand’s is the second local store to announce its imminent closing after decades in business. Another popular shop, Hobbymasters, plans to close on White Street in Red Bank after 45 years.
